Preliminary work 2

For this task, I had to lip sync to a song, add the track over it, and create a video. This task was to help us get used to the final task of creating a music video. Because lip syncing to a song is a typical convention of a music video, and we will do so in the final task, we managed to get the knack of how to combine the track so it fits to the lips.
With the first take of the video in class, because I wasn't ready, when I looked at the video afterwards, my expression throughout the video was awful. I did end up creating a proper video and added the track, however I was not happy with the final work, I decided to do it once more at home. I got my expression right, and I managed the remember the lyrics I had forgotten in the first take so it was a good video, however the quality was very bad because I took it with my old ipod-touch. And once again I shot the video with a better expression, and full lyrics and a better quality camera, and did the final project. It still isn't the best quality, so I'll have to use a better one for my final music video.
The points I learnt throughout this project is firstly, expression is important. I didn't know lip syncing was as difficult as it was because I do it nearly everyday when I listen to music. Lip syncing is slightly like acting so the way I lip sync can change the atmosphere. So depending on what genre of music I choose for my music video, I'd like to think about it more. Secondly is to use a high quality video camera. I don't have one personally so I could probably ask a friend. I found adding the track quite easy, so I hope I won't have any trouble doing so later.
